Red Panda

Description

Ailurus fulgens.

This cute red panda was also shot on a visit to the zoo. He was very active, doing laps of his enclosure on a regular basis.

The Red Panda is endemic to the Himalayas in Bhutan, southern China, India, Laos, Nepal, and Burma. It is estimated that there are fewer than 2,500 Red Pandas left in the wild.
