Belinda and her horse Gecko

Shot in the lovely late afternoon light on Saturday afternoon at the Abbey Medieval Festival, Abbeystowe, Caboolture, Qld.

Ordinarily one would not shoot into the sun due to the flaring that occurs, but in this case, the rim lighting and yes, even the flaring was desired for the overall effect.

This may be Gecko’s last Abbey Festival as next year another larger horse will be coming instead.

A while back I did a fashion / portfolio shoot with Ruby Barranchea. The cactus garden at the Botanic Gardens provided just the right summery feel for this shot.
